An Original Sonto Studio interpretation of the National Flag of Angola.
This flag was officially adopted on November 11th, 1975.
The golden star, the cog wheel and the machete symbol are said to be inspired by the hammer and sickle. This symbol represents agricultural and industrial workers.
The colour yellow symbolised the country’s mineral wealth.
The colour red and black are said to stand for “Freedom or Death”.
Angola is a Southern African country, a former Portuguese colony.
Its flag represents the history, the lives lost during the civil war the Angolan people engaged in to gain the right to live free of oppression on their own land.

• Athletic Heather colors are 90% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton, 10% polyester
