This is a Sonto Studio representation of Comoros officially the Union of the Comoros. The Comoros is a volcanic group of four islands off Africa’s east coast. It is in the warm Indian Ocean water of the Mozambique Channel. Its flag represents the four islands it is made up of.
The flag has four stripes, for the four islands of the nation.
Yellow is for Mohéli, white is for Mayotte, red is for Anjouan, and Blue is for Grande Comore, the nation state’s largest island. The four stars on the flag also symbolize the four islands of the Comoros.
Independence Day is a public holiday in Comoros, observed on July 6th each year.
